Cindy and Taylor's Busy Month of August!

For Taylor's Birthday Party, we went to the Jordan Land fill for a free tour. Everyone learned something including myself who does not buy plastic water bottles anymore. I now fill up my refillable water gallons at Sunflower market for 25 cents a gallon. Much cheaper and I am helping to save the planet!

Taylors dad came to town in August. Taylor was very happy to have him here and enjoyed his 3 day stay. They went golfing, played Basketball, went down to the Gateway, shared stories. Hopefully Shannon will realize what a great kid he is missing out on. Grandma and Grandpa got to meet Shannon as well.

Mom organized a "80's" dress up night where me and the girls went around downtown at night dressed up on our bikes to different places. It was fun as always.

Baylee's Birthday Party!!

Baylee had her 9th birthday party at Fat Cats Bowling Alley on September 13th! A big thanks to Cat for sharing these pictures with us that she put her artistic touch on!

Also another big thanks to Jenn for sending us these pictures and words;

"It was so fun to see mom bowl. I don't think that she's ever bowled before but I must say that I was pretty jealous of her mad skills! - Seriously, the first time she went she got a spare and the two times after that she got strikes. After bowling just a handful of us went to Murray park to have cake and play. Everyone who was able to make it had a blast and to those who couldn't come we missed you all."

Boston's Road To Recovery

On Saturday September 13th, Boston ran into the corner of our wall, and created a nice gash in his forehead. Jeremy and I took him to the hospital where he was given 6 stitches. (Hence why we missed Baylee's birthday party =(

For the next five days we had to keep the stitches moist with a band-aid over top!

After 5 days we took him back to the hospital to get his stitches out. The instant we walked into the ER he started screaming! He had to trouble remembering what had happened there before. After they took the stitches out they put these terry strips over the wound to continue to help it heal.

Boston is healing really well, and is as happy as ever! Thanks to all of you for your concern! That really meant a lot.

David's High Adventure!

In August I was fortnuate enough to go on the High Adventure camp with the Boy Scouts. We actually ended up having 3 adults and only two youth. We went backpacking to the Wind River Mountains in Wyoming. It was a 6 mile hike in with our packs which was about a 400 foot gain in elevation. We also took a day and hiked up to the Cirque of the Towers. This crosses the Continental Divide and was another 5 miles but with at least a 4000 foot gain in elevation! Phew! I felt like a mountain goat. This one really tore me up. I could barely walk the rest of the trip. They almost had to carry me out. Oh well! It was fun and an experience I'm glad I didn't miss!When you see me around and I'm still walking funny....you know why!

A couple of updates from Darla

Grandpa Dillard says he's now a "farmer" for the first time in his life, and is loving it. He has 2 tomato plants and a cucumber plant in pots on his patio and is amazed when he finds something to pick!

Megan is taking a "spinning" class at school and, like John and her dance teacher told her, it's "cured" her knee pain. For those few of you who are ignorant, like Darla, spinning is exercising on a stationary bike. She's also taking a tap dance class this semester. That should be fun!

Mike's and Baylee's Big Trip

Mike sent us these awesome photo's. I don't know many details about them, but ENJOY! (Mike if you want to get me more details I would love to post them!)

Mike and Baylee went to Missouri to Visit Grandma and Grandpa Dillard and also Aunt Sharon!

They had a great time visiting with them, and also seeing some beautiful sights!

Mike and Baylee also went to Texas to visit Mark and his family!!

They even went to a circus together!














And spent some time at the Race Track!

Jeremy has been searching for the perfect pictures for 3 frames in his office. Finally one Saturday he decided to create his own. He went to a local golf course and took some 3 photo's for his frames! The cool thing is the 3 pictures create 1 picture. I thought it was cool, what do you think?

Thank you to Jenn, Darla, Megan, Brian, Brett, and Caydon for coming to the Rogers Family Swimming Party!! I think everyone who came had a fantastic time splashin' around in the pool and eating at Fazoli's!

Swimming Party!

Come make a splash at the Rogers Family Swim Party!! This weekend is the last chance to use Jenn and Matt's Pool, so come take one last dip before summer ends!

When: Saturday August 30th at 3:00pm

Where: Jenn and Matt's Community Pool

We will be swimming, and just enjoying visiting one with another. The club house has been reserved by someone else, so we won't be able to use it. We will just be having out in and around the pool. Please don't bring any food as we are not allowed to have it by the pool. Just come and have lots of fun with the family! If you have any questions contact Jenn or Camille.

Cindy and Taylor's Fun Summer!

Cindy and Taylor have had a blast this summer spending every weekend doing something fun from Raging Waters to the Alpine Slide up in Park City.

This awesome 80's swimsuit picture was taken as Cindy went on her 24 mile bike ride around Antelope Island under the Moonlight!

Cindy and Taylor also went to Utah Lake where Cindy attempted to Wake Board.

Taylor sure seems to enjoy the water!

They also went to Tibble lake camping this past weekend where they fished and went motorcycling.Earlier in the summer Micheal, Cindy, Taylor, and Baylee went camping at Rockport.

After all of these adventures, Cindy said " This summer has been a total blast. I am starting to get to know Utah. I have never been camping until this year. So I guess I am starting to get out and see life. "
