Jeremy's Critique: It gives a unique time-lapsed photography type of feel to her simple, yet sophisticated approach. Each work is a fantastic demonstration of her creative view of the world. It makes you feel like you were there with her as she watched these strangers for hours. They went on with life all around her as she sat quietly in the midst of them. You begin to wonder if these figures passed each other on their way to and from the space that they both occupied at one time or another. Did they have a conversation or have mutual friends? Did they even know that they have both existed in the life of one that was waiting and watching that very place that they were in? Even though these figures that came and went from the space depicted may have been alone or come when no one else was there, the observer witnesses others that share their place of interest. Thus the individual alone becomes a part of the great whole which is existence. Whether they understand that or not leaves me guessing. And that is what makes art so wonderful. The meaning is left open to the observer and she/he is free to imagine or unlock the mystery for her or himself.

Darla becomes a walking advertisement for Subway's $5 Footlong sandwiches.

Darla tries to block her face from the camera for the 40th time in the last 40 attempts to take her picture. Darla tells the photographer how many seconds he has to drop the camera before she shows him the roundhouse kick that she learned from watching Chuck Norris on Walker Texas Ranger.

Dad and I REALLY need to get the internet! It's rather embarrassing (sp?)sitting in the library, by yourself, laughing uncontrollably. That's hilarious, Jeremy!
I thought your "critique" of Catherine's work was outstanding!!!
Mom, just for clarification, can I get ANY sub for only $5 at Subway?
That is some pretty funny and entertaining commentary!
Sorry I couldn't make it Catherine. You'll have to send me detailed pic's.
I love when Jeremy does the blog, it is so much more entertaining!
I really enjoyed coming to your Art Show Cat! It was fun to see your work in person, and to get to visit with you a bit.
It was great to see all the other family that came too!
