Can you believe it's been 3 years?

Jeremy, Camille, and Boston's Weekend in Idaho!

Jeremy, Boston, and I headed up to Boise Idaho this past weekend for the Garner Football League Draft. (Fantasy Football Event) I won't even try to explain it, but I thought I would just share a couple of Photos! Jeremy enjoyed being on my cousin Steph's team, while I read lots of Books to all the cousins! Boston was such a good boy, especially for being trapped in the car for over 10 hours in less then 48 hours! It was a fun little trip!

I am sorry I don't send pics more often. A lot of what we do is on the video camera cause Mark has the camera with him at work. I will take some and upload them and send them out.

Mark just got a new office with a new "power desk"...(I'll let him give you all of them fun details:)). I can tell he feels great and looks great. He has been eating so healthy and working out. He loves it.

Braedon is loving the summer and so are we. He loves building new creations with Legos. In fact, last night he brought the Lego box down and we just built legos for the next hour. I couldn't believe how relaxing and fun it is. No wonder he loves it:)! He loves to read, especially joke books...boy humor...he's always got us laughing or saying, "oh gross!".

Darian is wild but taming down and the boys are having a blast together. That is so much fun to see. Darian is excited to start sports and always tries read. He has fun counting but especially rhyming. He thinks it's so funny to come up with silly rhyming words. Oh, he loves to ride his bike but mainly play with brother and sissy.

Alea is growing up so quick. She is so sweet, has an opinion on the clothes she wears each day and loves to wear and buy new shoes. ....I have no idea what is ahead of me:))))).No seriously, I can't wait to watch her grow. She is just so sweet and loves to be a little mommy.

I hope you all are doing really well!!! We miss you and love you! We also CAN'T wait to see Mike and Bailey in a couple of weeks! We would love any and all of you to visit if and when you can!

Jenn and Matt's Visit to California!

We went to LA for the weekend of the 24th and it was a blast, we did not want to come home. The first night we went to a Dodges games which was so much fun. We sat it the all you can eat section of the game in right field. Between the two of us I think that we put down 6 or 7 Dodger Dogs, it was great! We went to the LA temple which was so beautifull inside and out. I love that no matter where you go the church is always the same if thats not proof of a true relgion I dont know what is. Matt was so wonderfull and patient with me while we went to the outlets, he is an Amazing husband! We finally made it to the beach which was a blast and Matt was like a little kid in a candy store. He could not stay out of the water until his clumsy wife was wipped out by a wave on the body board and lost her favorite glasses, that was the end of playin in the sea. I guess its a good thing that Matt and I both got new glasses while shopping!

All in all we had so much fun and hope to go back soon.

Cat and Cindy's Bike Ride

Catherine and Cindy went for a Bike Ride in Park City on July 20th and had so much fun!! As you can see, they also saw some beautiful things!

Happy First Birthday Caydon!

Brett and Brian threw an awesome 1st Birthday party for Caydon! There was A LOT of people there to celebrate!

Before the BBQ got started, some of the Rogers Family enjoyed some softball! (Jeremy and Camille just finished playing on their Softball Co-Ed Team, and Jenn and Matt will be starting one together in the Fall! )

The food was Delicious...

and the cake was too!! Caydon was so nice to share his cake with his Mom and Dad! Caydon received so many fun presents, and seemed to enjoy all of the attention!

Ok, so maybe Matt isn't the next American Idol, but he sure had a lot of fun hanging out with the top 10 American Idol's from this past season. His friend from work got backstage passes, and tickets to the concert! Darla was so jealous that Matt got to see David Archuleta sing and she didn't!

PAUL, DARLA AND MEGAN ARE ENJOYING BIKE RIDING. THEY RIDE FOR EXERCISE AND TO RUN ERRANDS, AND MEG EVEN RIDES TO WORK AND BACK. PAUL RECENTLY RODE TO JORDAN LANDING AND UP"HEARTBREAK HILL", AND LIVED TO TELL ABOUT IT!!! IT'S A GREAT WAY TO GET HEALTHY AND SAVE MONEY AND THE ENVIRONMENT.

MEGAN IS TAKING A COUPLE OF INSTITUTE CLASSES AND WORKING IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THE DAIRY. SHE'S ALSO BEEN DATING QUITE A BIT -- SHE SAYS SHE'S HAD A MILLION DATES, BUT NO PROSPECTS! (EVERYONE SHE DATES WANTS TO MARRY HER, BUT THEY'RE NOT HER TYPE).

DARLA AND PAUL HAVE BEEN BUSY WITH THE GARDEN AND FRUIT TREES. THEY'VE FROZEN 2 GALLONS OF PEAS, 5 GALLONS OF CHERRIES, ABOUT 50 QUARETS OF SPINACH AND OTHER GREENS, AND ARE ENJOYING FRESH CARROTS. THE CURRANTS ARE COMING ON NOW, THEN PEACHES, PLUMS AND APPLES. FORTUNATELY IT DOESN'T ALL COME ON A T THE SAME TIME!

DARLA LOVES WORKING AT THE HUMANITARIAN CENTER. EVERY WEEK SHE LEARNS SOMETHING NEW. SHE'S MADE CRIB SHEETS, RECEIVING BLANKETS, DOLL BLANKETS, TOY BAGS, NEWBORN HATS, WALL HANGINGS, CHILDREN'S T-SHIRTS, FLEECE SCARVES, QUILTS AND MORE. THESE ITEMS ARE PART OF MODULES WHICH ARE SENT TO ORPHANAGES AND DISASTER AREAS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. SINCE THE FIRST OF FEBRUARY SHE'S BEEN ABLE TO HELP OVER 1500 PEOPLE. IT'S A VERY REWARDING EXPERIENCE AND THE HIGHLIGHT OF HER WEEK!

JENNIFER AND DARLA WENT TO THE DRY-PACK CANNERY THE END OF JUNE AND CANNED 5 CASES OF FOOD FOR JENNIFER AND MATT'S FOOD STORAGE -- RICE, FLOUR, BEANS, DRIED APPLES, ONIONS AND OATS. IT ONLY TOOK THEM 1 1/2 HOURS AND THEY REALLY HAD A GOOD TIME. IF ANYONE ELSE IS INTERESTED IN GOING, LET ONE OF THEM KNOW BECAUSE THEY'D LIKE TO DO IT AGAIN -- MAYBE ONCE A MONTH OR SO.

DARLA TENDED CAYDON A COUPLE OF HOURS RECENTLY. THEY PLAYED DOWNSTAIRS WITH THE TOYS. HE ESPECIALLY LIKED THE TRASH TRUCK BECAUSE IT MADE NOISE. DARLA SANG THEIR FAVORITE SON, "POPCORN POPPING ON THE APRICOT TREEE". HE GIGGLED, TILTED HIS HEAD BACK AND LAUGHED SOME MORE, DANCING ALL THE WHILE. THEN HE MADE FUNNY SOUNDS WITH HIS TONGUE -- "GOOGLE-GOOGLE". HE'S SUCH A HAPPY BABY, ALWAYS LAUGHING AND SMILING.

MICHAEL JUST SOLD HIS CONDOMINIUM AND HAS MOVED IN WITH NATHAN AND ASHLEA FOR A FEW MONTHS. HE AND NATHAN ARE WORKING ON NATHAN'S CONDO. ASHLEA GOT LUCKY. HER EMPLOYER IS NOW PROVIDING BUS / TRAX PASSES FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES, SO ASHLEA NOW HAS A "FREE RIDE" TO WORK.

MARK IS LOVING HIS NEW JOB, AND DOING WELL AT IT. HE'S ALSO LET HIS HAIR GROW BACK IN AND HAS LOST SOME WEIGHT, EATING HEALTHIER AND PLAYING BASKETBALL. HE SAYS HE FEELS MUCH BETTER AND HAS MUCH MORE ENERGY

CATHERINE HAS MOVED BACK TO SALT LAKE AND IS SHARING A HOUSE WITH 3 ROOMATES. SHE, TOO, IS RIDING HER BIKE AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE -- EVEN TO WORK.

TAMMY "ACED" THE FIRST 75 QUESTIONS ON HER NURSING BOARD EXAM AND DIDN'T HAVE TO FINISH THE REST. SHE'S SO SMART. HER PAY RAISE WENT INTO EFFECT IMMEDIATELY.

3 girls+18 cups of frosting= Fun!

Darla taught the final cake class to Jenn and Camille this past weekend.(We missed Lily and Ashlea again!) The 3 hour class turned into a 5 1/2 hour class because they were having so much fun!! They learned how to level a cake, frost a cake making it look as smooth as ice and also learned how to do roses, and sweet peas!!




Darla has been a fabulous teacher, and very patient with us! She has been very kind to pass along her skills to us! Thanks for the great memories and classes Darla!!

July Birthday's and Anniversary!

We wish the birthday boys a big Happy Birthday!! Caydon will be turning ONE, and Braedon will be turning NINE! (Braedon, I am sorry we don't have a better picture of you!! Convince your parents to send us some better ones!! )

We also want to say HAPPY 2nd ANNIVERSARY to Nathan and Ashlea on July 4th!!

A New Kind of Petal to the Metal

For father's day this year the Rogers' kids and spouses went in on a new ride for Paul. We figured that with his desire to stay fit, his economic outlook on life, and the fact that gas prices are rising that he would be thrilled with his newfound friend. It turns out that we were right.

In a quick follow up conversation with Paul about his new bike he mentioned that he was having the time of his life weaving this way and that to avoid traffic on his way to the bookstore, which happens to be about 10 miles from home. He said that he got a thumbs up and a head nod from a guy on a roadbike while cruising along on his adventure. He said that it reminded him of the good old days when he would cruise through Long Beach and ride alongside the ocean.

In summary, if you see an old guy with white hair and a big smile on his face riding his bike down the road, go ahead and give him a thumbs up. Chances are, you might be related to him.

Boston's Birthday- A Success

We would like to thank everyone who came to help us celebrate Boston turning one! Hopefully everyone had as much fun as we did! Thanks again for all those that helped with the food, and for all the very nice presents. We love you all! Enjoy the pics!

Cake Class #2

On Saturday the 31st Darla, Jenn, and Camille had a great time once again playing with frosting! They learned how to make clowns, flowers, stars, and much more! Once again we want to give a big thanks to Darla for doing this class.
