Camille, you asked what we've been doing since Christmas. Well, I've been working on family history (geneology), and am so interested in the family stories I've been reading that I can hardly put them down. The stories, some of which are written in our ancestors own words, really bring them to life. They're no longer just names on a page. Following are some Words of Wisdom from the Rogers' kids 4th great-grandfather, on Nanny's side of the family.

I, J. M. (James Marion) Owens, was born in the 20th day of August, A. D. 1844, in Van Buren County, Arkansas. I bought land 12 miles from head of the Ouachita River, one mile from the river.
I am writing this for my off spring and kindred to look at after I am gone from this world; and my friends to look at too.

I was a Texas Ranger during the time of the war between the South and the North. After the war ended I came back to Polk County, Arkansas. I own about 400 acreas of land here.

My advice to everybody: When they have a good home, to stay on and keep out of debt, and not mortgage your land, nor have anybody get the advantage of you in your land. Keep your land always straight and don't allow anybody to talk you out of it.

Children and friends, take my advice for years to come and you will hit it right. This may look simple to you all, but consider this matter.

Some more advice to anybody that will look at it. Be sure that you don't take anything that don't belong to you, and don't tell lies, nor give anybody bad advice, and be careful in who you keep company with, and don't try to beat anybody out of anything. Be strict in your dealings. You can't be too particular.

Now study this simple advice, boys and girls and friends. It will do you no harm, I assure you. This is the advice of old man J. M. Owens. Yours truly, young folks and friends.

Abygail Whitney

Brian and Brett are proud to announce the safe arrival of their baby girl, Abygail Whitney.

She was born Febuary 19th at 4:28pm. She weighed 6 pounds 10 ounces, and was 19 inches long.

These pictures don't do her justice. She is serously one of the cutest babies ever!

What have YOU been up to this winter?

So I haven't seen most of you since Christmas... What have you been up to??

We've been really busy (as always) but this past weekend we took a winter vacation with my family up in Island Park, Idaho! It was AWESOME!!

We went snowmobiling for the first time...

Went sledding behind the snowmobiles, which was WAY fun! Boston loved it so much. He kept saying "Again, Again!!"

Even Hadley Boo had smiles amidst the cold!
