Happy Birthday Jenn!

1. Tell us about your job. What do you do on an average day at work?
I work over at TOSH in Murray as a receptionist in the Physical Therapy department. On an average day of work I answer phones, schedule patients, eat way too much food and work out on my lunch (at least every other day) to help burn off all of the calories that I eat. Its a good job just high stress but I am just grateful to have a job!

2. What are your interests and hobbies?
Last year Matt and I started to get into road biking so this year I decided that I'm going to go gung-ho and am hoping to do a race or two. I'm also starting to get back into running too which I love. My goal this year it to be in tip-top shape. I love to cook (little smookies!!!-That one's for you Cat:)) so I'm looking to take a couple of classes, if anyone's wants to take one with me. I love pottery and hope to get back into this year by doing some classes down town.

3. What is something that most of the family might not know/realize about you?
My dream is to someday live on a ranch just right out of the city and own four quarter horses. One for me, one for Matt and two for teaching riding lessons. I absolutely love horses and cant wait until I can own one. So if anyone wants to learn how to ride ho give me a call in about 15-20 years when I have everything set up!

Happy Birthday John!

1. Tell us about your job. What do you do on an average day at work?
Work is great, I get to work with an awesome bunch of folks with whom I have lots in common, we all love to exercise. All day long we get to help other people learn how to take care of their bodies and improve their health and well being. Mostly we help them rehab from surgeries and/or injuries caused by trauma or the effects of old age, genetic mishaps, poor body mechanics/posture, or just plain laziness. I totally dig my job.

2. What are your interests and hobbies?
I don't think it's any secret what my hobbies are, biking, music, and becoming a "SUPER" athlete, oh ya, and biking, did I mention biking? Sorry, not a whole lot of new information really.

3. What is something that most of the family might not know/realize about you?
Let's see, it would probably have to be the time I parachuted in behind enemy lines and rescued a whole troop of oompa loompa's using nothing more than bag full of Willy Wonka chocolate bars, a ball point pen and a pair of tube socks. Man that was scary! Hee, hee.

All 4 Sisters!

Cat took this picture at Cindy's party! I think it is pretty cool to have a picture of the 4 sisters! They don't look a thing a like do they...

John and Tammy's Big News...

John and Tammy went in for their ultrasound this past Thursday to see their healthy baby boy! Congratulations you guys!

It seems like the Rogers Family likes patterns when it comes to kids. 2 boys and a girl. First it was Cindy, John, David, then it was Catherine, Mark, and Michael, then Nathan, Jeremy, Jennifer... and then came Brian and Megan out of pattern! Then came the first 3 grandkids Braedon, Taylor, and Baylee. Now in 2009 the pattern is back. 2 boys and a girl will yet again join the Rogers Family.

Just an FYI

Jeremy wanted me to share this news clip. Just click on the link below to watch it.

It shows just how to make sure the tires your buy are new and safe, rather then old and dangerous.

Birthday Spotlight

This year, I thought it would be fun to celebrate everyone's birthday by learning a little bit more about them. So each month (well almost) I will post some fun trivia about whomever is celebrating their birthday. I hope this will be a good thing, and something you all will support me in doing. THANKS SO MUCH!

Happy Birthday Paul!

I was able to talk to Paul on the phone for a few minutes. I asked him what his hobbies and interests were. He said that when you have 11 kids you give up having hobbies and interests. After a little more prying I learned that he used to love to go for walks, but now that he has his bike, that is what he enjoys most. (I think Paul could probably beat any of us in a race... except maybe John.) He likes keeping current, and knowing what’s going on in the world. He reads lots of magazines at the library including Newsweek, and Time. He also likes to read about Eastern and Western ancient history. One of his hobbies is to exercise, which he does regularly. He loves to eat German food which he enjoys once or twice a year at Siegfried's, in Downtown Salt Lake. He enjoys the Black Forest Cherry Cake for a special dessert.

I asked Paul if he could think of anything interesting that the family might not know about him. He then proceeded to tell me a rather funny story about a summer job he had while attending college in Sacramento, CA. He got a job putting in pools, working for an 80 year old man who could barely see. On his first day of work they drove out to the eastern part of Sacramento to an absolutely beautiful area, then pulled into a nudest camp. Paul thought the guy must be joking... but no such luck. There Paul worked for a few days putting in a pool, and having several people talk to him in their birthday suits!

Happy Birthday Paul!!
