David's Adventure Down South

In March I traveled to Southern Utah with a group of Boy Scouts. We traveled to Leprechaun Canyon in the North Wash which contains a group of Slot Canyons. We hiked from our camping spot by the road up the mountain for about an hour. We then dropped in at the head of the canyon, where it would take 3 hours to hiked/crawl our way down. Some spots were open like this picture below. You can see the amazing architecture of the canyon where rain water has eroded the walls. Some of the passages in the canyon were so tight, with walls that scaled up 100 feet tall with only a crack of sunlight showing between the opening, that I had to walk sideways in order to shimmy my way through. We ended up repelling a 20 foot drop and assisted the young men by lowering those who weren't able to repel. The canyon opened up as we hiked out allowing us to marvel at the staggering height of the walls that surrounded us and reflect on the natural beauty we have in this state.

Tristan helping to make horse and heart shaped pancakes in his Spiderman pajamas. He really likes to help when in the kitchen. Hope he picks up this skill!
My car was recently reported missing and above is a picture of the suspect shown actually driving my car. He is believed to have gang affilliations, has a warrant out for wetting the bed, and goes by the name "Little Blankey." If any of you have seen this person, please notify his parents.

That IS a beautiful place, Dave! Didn't you get clostrophobic?

I think I've seen "Little Blankey" around town before. If I see him again, I'll be sure to call you! That is so funny -- especially the look on his face!
